Using theatrical tools, games and exercises for a purpose, Umbrella Theatrical Productions (UTP) works with local youth groups, allied health practitioners and community organisations to workshop positive change in our communities.

Creative Collaborations

Umbrella Theatrical Productions is proud to be affiliated with the following companies, working together and supporting each other in the commonly shared goal of seeing Applied Theatre and Social Arts connect individuals and communities to facilitate positive social change.

Theatre for living - David Diamond

Recognised as a world leader in community specific, issue-oriented theatre, winning numerous awards. While the work became to be known as THEATRE FOR LIVING, it is based on Brazilian Director Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed.

Originally co-founded in 1981 as Headlines Theatre of which David became Artistic Director in 1984. Between 1984 and 2018, David facilitated over 600 Theatre for Living projects (with support from staff!) this is true theatre BY the community FOR the community. Visit: www.theatreforliving.com

Raw encounters media - LAINIE GODIVA

Empowering people to look at their diagnosis holistically, through storytelling around a personal journey with epilepsy, Lainie Godiva highlights that you don’t have to accept there being only one road to manage a condition or illness.

With a myriad of treatments available for any condition, why not be in the driver’s seat of the experiment instead of being a passenger?! To learn more about our beloved brains and what it means to take responsibility for your health, visit their website today! Visit: www.electrogirl.com.au
